About Me
Who?
I feel it is important no matter the business, industry, or context that meaningful relationships people can and should be built. So, in the spirit of that here's some information that answers the question: "Who am I?" I am a husband to my amazing wife Avery, and father of two adorable and hilarious boys Eli and Archer. I am a reliable and grounding presence in my relationships both personally and professionally, but I also love to joke, have fun and enjoy life. I am an honest and humble communicator and love being on teams where I can personally contribute and collaborate together with other people. My family means the world to me and I love spending time with them. I also really enjoy spending time watching movies and watching or playing sports.
What?
What is it that I am most skilled in doing professionally? I absolutely love creating visually compelling and interactive content that helps someone learn. I have skills across lots of mediums: eLearning. Micro-Lessons, Videos, Job Aids, Graphics, and more. I have a keen eye for visual balance and simplicity. I also have an educator's experience and insight to create content that is relatable and easily digestible for the specific audience I am tailoring my content to.
When?
I have been an educator in some form or capacity for years but discovered Instructional Design as a career in 2020. Once I found it, I haven't looked back! I knew it was the perfect career for me combining my love for design and learning and I have been passionately growing and innovating ever since.
Where?
I currently live in Coppell Texas just North of Dallas. I also have several years of experience working both Remote and Hybrid roles.
Why?
Although my position as an Instructional Designer differs from when I was a full-time educator, my passion for helping others learn has remained the same. The ability for a person to learn and grow is vital no matter what field they work in or position they have. In an increasingly fast-paced and technology-driven workplace, being able to design and build content that best enables an audience of people to learn in an engaging way can be both challenging and exciting. I love taking a concept or procedure and turning it into tangible content that helps someone learn what they need to know to succeed in their position. I enjoy designing, innovating, and building new and engaging content that pulls the learners in and guides them to the objective they need to understand.
